✦ The Story of Cosmic Kou ✦

Who Is
Cosmic Kou?

An indigenous, queer, Hmong child of refugees who became a writer, a healer, and a 5D New Earth Architect — not despite everything I've survived, but because of it.

Before
We
Begin

I am a writer, a healer, and a spiritual coach.

I have sat in healing circles in Bali, Tibet & Egypt and I have also ugly-cried in a Home Depot parking lot.

There are multiple dimensions to me. The same goes for you.

All of you is welcome here — the sacred and the messy, the wounded and the wise.

The Roots:
Who I Am

"I was never supposed to be here."

I am a child of Hmong refugees — a people who survived genocide, crossed rivers at midnight, and rebuilt their entire world in a foreign land with nothing but each other. That is the blood I carry. That is the ground I stand on.

I grew up between two worlds. In one, I wasn't American enough. In the other, never Hmong enough. I learned early how to perform belonging in rooms that were never built for me.

The path forward was clear: be excellent. Make your parents proud. Get the degrees. Earn the titles. So I did. Doctoral coursework at the University of Chicago. Two masters degrees — Psychology and Social Work. A twenty-year career leading social, racial, and queer justice work across the US, Thailand, and Mexico. Director roles in national nonprofits, government, and philanthropy. A White House Champion of Change. Leading COVID response for the state of Minnesota — $30 million distributed to the communities most impacted.

And yet — it was killing me.

The Burnout.
The Breaking.
The Return.

In every place I worked — no matter how meaningful — I burnt out.

"Not because the work wasn't real. Because I had not yet learned to do for myself what I was doing for everyone else."

I gave until there was nothing left. And then I kept giving anyway.

The burnout became a breakdown. The breakdown became a doorway — and the doorway led to a breakthrough.

A Journey Around the World

Flower of Life

A decade-long healing journey took me around the world — to healing centers and sacred sites across six continents. I immersed myself in holistic healing of mind, body and soul: reiki, quantum energy healing and somatic healing.

I had to heal my body: my fascia, my spine, my muscles — everything that I sacrificed for my career, everything I sacrificed to produce. I had to bring my body back into alignment with mind and soul.

I had to travel through the darkness to reclaim my light. Quantum healing healed decades of trauma. Broke ancestral curses. Carried me through tremendous grief, loss and betrayal — and brought me through to the other side. I did not just recover. I was transformed.

I began to own who I actually was — not who I was supposed to be. I learned to love myself more deeply and fully. I built real boundaries — not walls. I stopped numbing and started feeling. And slowly, I reclaimed the pieces of my soul that had been lost or taken long ago.

The Calling

I am here as a catalyst. A coach. A witness.

"We are not the problem. We are the architects."

My people are the outcasts, the weirdos, the people-pleasing over-achievers — the ones who are ready to stop performing for others and come home to themselves.

I am here to activate and catalyze the spiritual leader already within you. So that together, we ascend. Together, we create the blueprint for the type of society we want to live in — one founded on sovereignty, liberation and prosperity for all. Together we build the New Earth.
